The Outdoors Alliance for Kids (OAK) is a national strategic partnership of organizations from diverse sectors with a common interest in connecting children, youth and families with the outdoors. OAK’s members are brought together by the belief that the wellness of current and future generations, the health of our planet and communities and the economy of the future depend on humans having a personal, direct and life-long relationship with nature and the outdoors.

OAK is a unique membership alliance working to increase opportunities to connect children and youth with nature and the outdoors:

  • OAK represents a broad voice for conservation, recreation, health, education, military-serving, business, built environment and transportation sectors on Capitol Hill and with the Administration, advocating for increasing opportunities for children and youth to get outdoors.
  • OAK’s growing network, representing more than 30 million people, is raising awareness and activating leaders and decision-makers at the grassroots, local, state, regional and federal levels to support change efforts that expand and strengthen outdoor education, community health and wellness, and environmental stewardship opportunities for children and youth across America.

We need you!

If your organization believes that all children and youth should have the opportunity to get outdoors, we invite you to complete OAK’s membership application to join the Outdoors Alliance for Kids. Membership is open to national, regional, state and local non-profit organizations and businesses that subscribe to OAK’s mission.
